Synched Up By September (2022)

A quilt that I made with a previous partner documenting the effect two uterus bearing people have on one another when in close proximity to each other, and the effects that their dyadic relationship involuntarily has. The blood stains from our periods syncing up in our sleep have been washed out and replaced with embroidery string, while from a far still reading as blood stains on the quilt. This work creates an even more permanent stain from a stain that is usually seen as a burden.
